Orvis Helios won Field & Stream's "Best of the Best" Fly Rod for 2008. Orvis has created the lightest fly rod by replacing industry standard epoxy resins with thermoplastic, thermoset resins and fiberglass scrims with carbon fiber scrims. The editors of Field & Stream were also impressed with the durability and accuracy of the rod.
